Political / Personal Assistant

Job description

We are looking for a multi-talented, enthusiastic and politically minded personal assistant to support Jeremy Lee in his campaign as an Independent Parliamentary Candidate in Bury St Edmunds and Stowmarket.

The role will not only cover the Parliamentary campaign but also support the writing of a book, and setting up a ‘School for Grown-ups’.

The role is varied and challenging. Some of your main tasks will include:

  • Research for campaign and book
  • Co-ordinating volunteers, expert advisors and suppliers
  • Maintaining website, social media and SEO
  • Pursuing media, speaking and promotional opportunities
  • Recording and editing vox pops, podcasts and video diary
  • Diary management and basic accounts#

Working hours will be long but you’ll have lots of fun, make useful contacts, develop your skills and discover new ones.

Unless you already have a home in the area, the assumption is that this is a live-in position with all bills covered.

What we are looking for

Nous, diplomacy, energy, intelligence and literacy count for more than experience. You will also be comfortable with tech and have a full driving licence.
